Happy Holidays 2011 from the Roulst Family!

WHAT a year we have had! Definately the best one of our lives! Full of JOY and a shadow of sorrow... but one we really appreciate and cherish!

As USUAL I am late getting out the Christmas cards so they should have read HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As for our eldest, Andrew Edward Roulst, he is full almost 9 years of life this year! He is attending Centralia Christian School and seems to really be doing well. He has many friends and the work in general is a cinch for that lil smarty! We love how his incredible mind works at inventing new things and ways to simplify life. Can't hardly wait to see his ideas come to life one day! He asks every other week if we can homeschool him so he can "skip a grade", lol. We are definately considering it! We love him dearly and have learned so much about his little self this year. He was diagnosed in October with Aspergers, tourettes and a sensory disorder. Though his symptoms are generally mild, we appreciate the diagnosis so we can better help him thrive in his little world. SO we are now embarking on a new and improved journey to help him reach every potential God has planned for him! We love this boy! He is a gift from God and we continue to be proud of his accomplishments.I should mention that Andrew has proven to be the BEST big brother to baby Jack... Andrew is so sweet to watch as he tries teaching Jack how to say "AAAANNNNDDRREEEEW" and "BBBBAAAALLLLLLLL"! We definatley see the soft side of Andrew whenever his baby brother is the center of attention. I truely bieleve God had Jack picked special for Andrew... we needed him.

Now on to our sweet Adeline Berniece Roulst, whom is "Addie" to her million and two friends! She started Kindergarten at Centralia Christian School this year and LOVES it more than anything! She will refuse to stay home if she is sick, cuz she just CANNOT miss a single moment! There are only 8 children in her class and it has been a great year! She is learning to read already and always works so hard and dilligently to be perfect at every task in class. She is a great lil student and we are proud of her! She continues to turn heads with her giant blue balls for eyes, and I am pretty sure she will use that against us here soon! She will be turning 6 in just a matter of weeks and has THAT party all planned out already! We appreciate our thoughtful, caring, doting on her baby brother, little sweet daughter that she is. God knew I needed her for sure! She melts daddys heart and oneday her older brother will think of something nice to say about her too! LOL. Addie adores baby brother JackJack, even though she must have asked me a hundred times after he was born... "why did God give THEM (pointing to a mom with a baby dressed in PINK) a girl?". Sweet Adeline.

JACK WILLIAM ROULST is the very BEST lil guy! He has a sweet little nature about him and we can't quite figure out what we did so right to deserve him! LOVE him! He is already nearly ONE year old! I just dont like this baby growing up! He is healthy and happy and really REALLY loves his Daddy! The true test was when Darrell and I were gone all day until late and my Mom was watching the kids. When we went to pick them up Darrell and I stood in front of Jack holding out our arms to him and he TOTALLY chose DADDY!! I was actually bummed! lol but it is very sweet for Darrell to get to experience a baby wanting HIM all the time. ITs been FUN! We adore him!
He looks alot like Darrell did when he was a baby too we are told! Diana, Darrell's Mom nick named him Darrell Jr. BUT we call him JackJack! He adores his brother and sister so much! Addie carts his around all day long and he just goes with it! Andrew plays wrestling with him for hours! Its a fun world for this baby!

Well... nothing much to report for D and me! THe bee's are doing well! We did not pull honey this year to let the hives keep it for winter! Darrell split his hives so we are up to about 30 now! Hoping for a BIG honey pull this coming year! We have so many paople asking for some... we wont forget about you!
Darrell still works for the SFD, and I still work for FREE! lol. But I feel very blessed to get the job of stay at home MOM and I love it more than anything!

My life isn't so bad... I have 3 healthy kids, a hard working husband, a pleasant home in the country, good family, good friends, and good COFFEE!

Love you all so much!

Our baby has arrived!

Introducing sweet BABY Jack William Born February 28th, 9lbs 9oz 21 1/2 inches long!

Everyone in our family is smitten by him... and we all wanna hold him all day long!
Adeline is the QUEEN of diaper duty. I think she would PAY to get to change him!
Andrew is a giddy big brother that has a twinkle in his eyes now ( so says his teacher and the gals in the school office!) He is showing such a sweet and loving side that we enjoy seeing from our lil tough boy!

I am enjoying every little hiccup! And let me tell you, this baby Jack has the hiccups at least 5 times a day!! After a super fast and uncomlicated birth, I am feeling wonderful and can even wear my pre baby jeans! YEAH!!!

Darrell is of work for a bit to help out, and its a good thing since I cant seem to set this baby down for a minute! Just wanna soak in every moment with our last baby cakes.

So... enjoy our pics... my friend, Kirsten took them as a baby gift!

Love you all!

Jack William Roulst

It's a BOY !

Andrew and Adeline are excited about adding a baby brother to our family come late February! After the initial shock Miss Addie B had of the baby NOT being a girl... she is thrilled! After all... a baby is a baby!( Her words in the office were, ..."is it REALLY a boy?")
Andrew could not be any more excited to have a brother... he plans on making him the smartest kid and teaching him everything he knows. ( He insists on a cool name for his brother... like "Smarty")

Darrell and I are happy to start planning on our little boy blessing, but have anxiety over choosing a name. We struggled with boy names with the other two babes... so HELP!
And we do not have to have an "A" name... contrary to how it may look. :)

So now we get busy making baby a room and getting all those much fun baby supplies!
We are really gonna enjoy this last baby and hopefully he takes his sweet baby time growing up! Time seems to fly by! We will have a 3rd grader and our baby girl starting Kindergarten next fall! boo hoo, thank goodness for this bundle on his way!

Summers end photo shoot

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

On to FALL!

Well, Summer is gone... literally gone. It started pouring rain yesterday!! Andrew is in class right now, and Adeline is starting Pre Kindergarten tomorrow. What am I going to do with myself!!! I am sure I will think of something! Right now I am busy getting the house organized as we will be welcoming our new baby in 2011!
We find out next month if baby is a brother or sister... we all have our own opinions about that!

So, I am making a nursery out of the tiny alcove room in the master... and we have added on to our house a tad by moving our back door and creating a mud room. (AKA hang up your coat room!) It will be a nice addition to our cozy place.

We have yet to do the little finishing details on our big remodel this past year.Molding, back splash, some more painting!
My Dad did a beautiful job on my kitchen and we love the way our family functions in our newly done spaces. Its been perfect for us.

So... all is well, and nothing major to report yet! Will show you our baby's first photo in about a month... we are taking the kids out of school to come to the ultrasound so we are planning to make it a special day for everyone. ( Shopping and all!)

LOVE to you all!!!

First Day of School 2nd Grade!

Our Honey Bees

Guess I have not mentioned it on the blog, we are in our second year of honey bees! We have doubled our hives this year and hope to harvest 150 pounds at the very least this month! My brother, Casey a graphic design artist, created this awesome label for our honey jars! We live in Centralia on historic Fords Prairie so hence, FORDS PRAIRIE APIARIES is the name of our little starting business. Darrell has designed and built a new and improved bee hive base that is being sold at 2 local bee supply stores. He is really enjoying this hobby and hopes to keep splitting hives till he has 100! We sell our honey but never seem to have enough to meet the demand from our friends and family... guess thats good! We hope to have plenty more this year and keep it coming in the years to come!!

Day hike at Mt. St. Helens

We had a wonderful day today hiking around the North side of Mt. St. Helens. Here are a few photos of our hike! The cloud hid just the horseshoe shaped top of the Mountain. It was so pretty.

Family FUN update!!

I am so bad at keeping up on this blog! SORRY !!!

Well, if I can ever get all these great photos uploaded onto blogger, you will see just how much FUN we have been having! ( Even with this winter weather we are having!)

Andrew is almost done with First grade, doing SUPER awesome. Adeline graduated from her first 1/2 year of Pre School... she loved it and fit right into her new social life. ( a little TOO social if you ask her teacher Ms. Libby!)

Andrews still going to be an inventor when he grows up, and Adeline told me "I am not gonna be anyfing". BUT she DID ask to see my wedding dress for the first time recently, ( after seeing our wedding album) and proclaimed that she was going to wear my dress when she gets married! I told her she can if she wants to, but that she can change her mind and pick out her own too. Lol.

Andrew said he is going to have 6 kids when he grows up. Of course I knew he MUST have a calculated reason to this number. SO I asked why 6? "Oh... cuz that's how many names I have picked out already! " . ( Of course he does, being 7 years old and all!) Love that boy... ( the names are Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor) :)

So this weeekend we celebrated my Moms 60th birthday, and Adeline's first ballet recital, AND we made the trek to Mt. St. Helens for a day hike... it was a ton of fun!

All in all, we are having a wonderful life and trying to take advantage of the blessings God has given us. I hope to get on here more frequently, as I know many of you enjoy seeing our family and hearing about our life. We love you all!!!!
